Bulk billing is available for:
- Children under 16
- Blue pension concession card holders and health care card holders
- Bulk billing will be available to all of Dr. Abeysinghe's patients
Message From TMFP
TMFP is a mixed billing clinic. We feel your contribution of a fee reflects your value and appreciation for quality health care without restriction or compromise.
We soundly believe the experience, knowledge and care our doctors carry and provide is of worth, and if you value your own health and that of your loved ones, you will contribute and prioritise this gift of good health.
We remind all that the Medicare refund is only the patient’s rebate from the government to go towards payment of the services provided to them by their doctors. It does not reflect the payment for the services rendered. This simply means, that while we courteously bulk bill children under 16 and full pensioners, all other patients may have an out-of-pocket fee to complement the government’s contribution to repay their health bill.
As a courtesy, health care card holders are also generally bulk billed, but may be subject to the doctor’s individual discretion.

Private Consultation Fee
- Standard consultation - $93.00 (medicare rebate $45.05)
- Telehealth - $93.00 (medicare rebate $45.05)
- Long consultation - $145.00 (medicare rebate $87.10)
- Extended consultation - $202.00 (medicare rebate $128.35)
Fees are payable on the day of your appointment. Cash and EFTPOS is welcome for payment.
Medicare Rebate
We have a TYRO machine, which allows the clinic to immediately process your Medicare rebate back onto your debit card directly with Medicare on the day of service. Unfortunately, Medicare does not rebate to credit card.
Medical Specialist Fees
The GP may refer you to see a specialist. Please contact them to determine your out-of-pocket expense.
Other than as displayed above, Bulk Billing is ONLY at the discretion of the Doctor providing the service and is considered on a case-by-case basis.
Cancellation Policy
Please inform us at least 24 hours prior to your appointment if you need to cancel or reschedule. This allows us to offer this appointment slot to other patients in immediate need. Cancellation fees will apply if you fail to cancel 24 hours in advance.
No Show Policy
Our time, as is yours, is very valuable. If you fail to show up for an appointment, a no-show fee will apply. This fee must be paid prior to booking any new appointments.
Running Late
Together Medical Family Practice strives to keep appointments on time. If you are running late, your doctor may need to see the next patient and reschedule your appointment.
